Who is this for?
It’s open to everyone, but it’s definitely for you if you:
- Are a UK or international student who wants to find out more from the comfort of your own home: You might be too busy or too far away to come see us in person, so our virtual events offer the opportunity to get all your questions answered without having to leave the house.
- Are a graduate who wants to earn more: Someone with a Master's degree or PhD earns £5,000 more per year, or £200,000 over a 40-year working life, than someone with just a degree (Graduate Labour Market Statistics 2023, Department for Education).
- Want to study a postgraduate course at a modern university in a major city: We’re at the heart of the UK’s second-largest city with a population of over 1.1 million people. Birmingham is on course to be one of the 50 most competitive cities in the world by 2025 (Economist Intelligence Unit/Citi).
- Want to study a course which develops your employability: Our postgraduate courses are designed to deliver practice-based learning and career-focused opportunities. We provide the chance to gain industry and professional practice experience through work placements, mentoring schemes and events.
- Are a friend, family or carer of someone who’s considering a place at university: You’re very welcome to log on to experience the event.
