The University’s School of Property, Construction and Planning has changed its name to coincide with its recent move to Millennium Point.

The school has been renamed as the Birmingham School of the Built Environment (BSBE). The rename intends to more accurately reflect the School’s strong links with the city and the focus of the courses on offer.

The change comes following BSBE’s recent move to Millennium Point which brings all of Faculty’s schools together under the same roof for the first time. The formal launch will be taking place at a prestigious event in April 2012. Until then, there will a detailed process of transition both internally and externally.

Nick Morton, Head of School for BSBE, said: “The School is entering an exciting new era at the City Centre campus. Our students will continue to benefit from our close relationships with Birmingham City Council and other partners, working on solutions which have gone on to directly influence local government policies.”
