CEBE Professor Awarded Honorary Title

The University of South Australia recently appointed BCU’s Professor of Plant and Machinery Management David Edwards as Adjunct Chair. The honorary title recognises his work and international reputation in the field of construction and civil engineering management.

The role of Adjunct Chair officially begins this summer, but Professor Edwards is already collaborating on a number of construction management research projects with academics from that university.

One such project is a Hand-Arm Vibration (HAV) exposure project being undertaken within the UK utilities industries. The project involves Morrison Utility Services, the UK’s largest provider of support to the electricity, gas, water and telecom sectors, and Highways England. There are plans to broaden the scope of the project to more mainstream construction and civil engineering management research.

Professor Edwards said:

Professor Edwards will be visiting the Adelaide university later this year, where he will presenting to undergraduates and postgraduates, as well as speaking directly to a PhD student he is supervising.
