Frost’s research revolves around using Florence’s festival history and adapting this to understand how meaning is established and developed through civic festivals.

Having been a qualified architect for over 26 years from completing both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the University of Cambridge and practicing all over the world, Professor Frost now holds the Oscar Naddermier Chair in Architecture at Birmingham City University and is the Director of History, Theory and Cultural Context at Birmingham School of Architecture and Design.
