Sheikh was an Inclusivity and Accessibility Officer for 9 years at Birmingham City University’s Faculty of Health Education and Life Sciences. Throughout her career, Sheikh has worked with students of all abilities across various clinical and health related programmes, and currently teaches on the LLB and LPC courses at Birmingham City University’s School of Law.
Prior to this, Sheikh has first-hand experience as a law firm Paralegal working in litigation, and has supported victims of domestic violence as part of her work with Birmingham’s Women’s Aid. Sheikh particularly enjoys applying and sharing her experience with students across the range of modules she teaches. Additionally, Sheikh has supported Birmingham City University in obtaining British Dyslexia Association accreditation, and supports staff through various ‘Disability Support’ training sessions.
