Rebecca Steiner is an award-winning goldsmith whose work has been exhibited across the UK and Europe. Her research interests include crafts education, professional development for practitioners and the wider benefits of crafts practice in relation to personal autonomy, agency and wellbeing.

She holds a Masters Degree in Design: Critical Practice from Goldsmiths University of London.

She currently lectures on the MA Jewellery and Object and Graduate Diploma courses.

Previous projects have included:

  • Working with the Materials Library in London to stage interactive sensory exhibitions in the Tate Modern and the Wellcome Museum
  • Invited speaker/lecturer for the Jewellery and Metalsmiths Guild of Australia, University of the Arts London and Goldsmiths, University of London
  • The Mobile Jewellery Workshop: a fully solar-powered mobile teaching studio (www.mobilejewelleryworkshop.net)
  • “Processes of Making” interdisciplinary short course developed for Goldsmiths, University of London
