Laura Chen

A student

Photography

Originally from the Netherlands, Laura decided to study at BCU, find out why she decided to come to the UK!

What do you like about your course?

The mix of practical workshops and informative and inspiring lectures.

What has been your best experience at BCU so far?

Doing what I love most and learning about all the amazing practitioners in the industry that I look up to and that inspire me. The tutor-student relationship is great too, very friendly and encouraging.

What advice would you give other international students from your country?

Make the most of your time as a student! It really is the best time to discover new things and learn more about yourself and who you want to be. Meet new people and make memories!

Why did you want to study in the UK?

I’ve always been in love with British culture, in particular the creative industry (music, film, fashion, art, TV etc.) which I really wanted to be a part of myself, hence why I came to study photography.
