The student experience
We give you a clear plan to develop your professional knowledge, business awareness and key transferable skills, including how to succeed in job interviews.
Our lecturers have links and experience across a variety of industries to ensure that your course always meets the latest needs of the global marketplace.
We’ll encourage you to take individual ownership over the direction of your education and career, and actively support your efforts to work with local communities and make connections with industry.
Our jobs-on-campus scheme, OpportUNIty, ensures that our students are given the first chance to take many part-time temporary jobs at the University. This allows you to work while you study with us, fitting a job around your course work.
By taking part in the scheme, you’ll gain valuable experience and employability skills, improving your chances in the job market, as well as earning money to support your studies and social life.
You’ll also become more involved in University life by delivering, leading and supporting many aspects of our learning experience, from administration through to research and key student support roles.
A day in the life of a Marketing Assistant
"I didn’t know much about marketing at all until I came across the opportunity to become a marketing assistant through the University."
Final year student Rebekah goes through a typical day of a marketing assistant - one of the roles available through the OpportUNIty scheme.
