We have many students from Latin America studying at Birmingham City University on some of our most popular programmes, including Business, Health, Engineering, Art and Design, and Jewellery.
Birmingham is a popular study destination for students from Latin America, and our city has many of your home comforts, including restaurants, bars and sports widely available. Birmingham has its own international airport, which is located a 10-minute train journey from our City Centre Campus. Modern, safe and perfectly located on-campus accommodation is available to all international students on a first-come, first-served basis.
It's a particularly exciting time to become a student at Birmingham City University. We've invested over £500 million in our estate, including a major expansion of our City Centre Campus at Eastside, providing students with an enviable range of facilities.
Our research work continues to attract international attention, 93% of our research was recognised internationally for originality, significance and rigour, of which 19% was judged world-leading (REF 2021).
Undergraduate
We are happy to consider the Bachillerato Academico PLUS Tecnico Professional with minimum grade of 75 % / 7.5.
Additionally all applicants must hold a sufficient, valid English Language qualification or an exam result accepted by the University. Find a full list of accepted English Language qualifications and further information.
Some Undergraduate courses require for applicants to have studied specific subjects. For Example, Maths, Science or Computing related subjects. Please check the course-specific website for the course's entry requirements.
Postgraduate
Licenciado/Professional Title from a recognised Colombian University with a minimum GPA of 3.5 or above.

Some postgraduate courses require a subject specific undergraduate degree to qualify for entry. For Example, Law, Computing, Social Sciences, Engineering, etc. Please check out the Course-specific website for the course's entry requirements.

For certain courses, you may be required to submit additional documents.
Arts and Design Courses (both undergraduate and postgraduate) may require for you to present a good portfolio of artwork. Additionally, some courses may require a proposal of studies. Please check Faculty website for specific requirements.
Undergraduate
BCU is offering a scholarship of £5,000 to self-funding international undergraduate students joining BCU on a full-time degree. The scholarship will be applied as a tuition fee discount of £3,000 in year one and £2,000 in year two.
