Bangladesh
Birmingham presents a warm welcome to students from Bangladesh. Birmingham has a proud reputation as one of the most diverse cities in Europe.
You can enjoy our city’s history, culture, and good quality food – the unmissable Balti Triangle is the centre of Asian cuisine, fabric and fashion; you’ll find fantastic restaurants, Asian jewellers, traditional dress-makers and delicious sweet shops.
We have an active Indian Society through our Students’ Union, which will support you through a network of contacts and events.
Did you know Birmingham is home to the world-famous Edgbaston cricket ground, and will host international fixtures from England Vs Pakistan and England Vs Sri Lanka in 2016? Our local music and event venues also play host to some fantastic events, including the BritAsia TV World Music Awards 2015 at the Barclaycard Arena.
We have partnerships in your country too, including American International University, Dhaka Centre for Law and Economics, and International University of Bangladesh Agriculture and Technology.
