Birmingham City University is one of the UK's most dynamic institutions for higher education.  We are a vibrant, multicultural university with over 31,000 students from more than 120 countries, offering an innovative and practical approach to teaching and learning.

Our portfolio of excellent courses, investment in state-of-the-art facilities, first-rate staff, and focus on practical skills and professional relevance make us a first choice for students.  Our courses are convenient and career-focused, and many are accredited by professional bodies.  This means that you'll gain qualifications with us that are highly valued by employers, giving you a significant advantage in the job market.

We've invested heavily in innovative technology to give our students the best possible preparation for their chosen careers.  Facilities include a mock law court, a virtual radiography suite, broadcast studios, fashion workshops and a mock operating theatre.

Our research work is attracting international attention too, 93% of our research was recognised internationally for originality, significance and rigour, of which 19% was judged world-leading (REF 2021).

It's an inspiring time to be a student at Birmingham City University.  We've invested over £500 million in our estate, including a significant expansion of our City Centre Campus at Eastside, which provides students with an enviable range of facilities.
