Undergraduate courses
We invite applicants who have achieved grades between A1 and B2 in at least six subjects on the ‘West African Senior School Certificate for Schools Candidates’ or ‘West African Senior School Certificate for Private Candidates’ (WASSCE) examination to apply.
Additionally, we are pleased to consider candidates with a Technician Diploma or a Higher Teacher's certificate for entry into the first year. For specific eligibility requirements, please consult the university's admissions office. Candidates holding a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field may also be eligible for entry into the second, third year or top-up of our undergraduate courses.
Postgraduate courses
We are happy to consider a Master's degree with 60 per cent and above/ GPA 2.70 and above/ Grade B - and above for entry to our postgraduate courses.
Special requirements
Art and Design
All undergraduate Art and Design courses require a good portfolio of artwork. Some postgraduate courses also require a portfolio, others require a proposal of studies, while some courses require both a portfolio and a proposal of studies. Please check the faculty website for specific requirements.
Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment (CEBE)
All undergraduate courses in the CEBE faculty require Mathematics at O Level. However, Mathematics is required at an AS Level minimum of Grade C or the equivalent for the Engineering suite and BEng Telecommunication and Networks.
Business School
All Business School undergraduate Year 1 courses require Mathematics minimum of Grade C at O Level or the equivalent.
English language requirements
Undergraduate
BCU is offering a scholarship of £5,000 to self-funding international undergraduate students joining BCU on a full-time degree. The scholarship will be applied as a tuition fee discount of £3,000 in year one and £2,000 in year two.
Undergraduate scholarship terms and conditions
Postgraduate
BCU is offering a scholarship of £3,000 to self-funding international postgraduate students joining BCU on a full-time postgraduate taught Master’s degree. The scholarship will be applied as a tuition fee discount.
