Our students are going global
HELS Go Abroad is an international mobility programme for undergraduate students. The programme aims to enrich studies, broaden cultural horizons and develop key skills valued by employers through a wide range of international opportunities.
HELS Go Abroad offers financial support in form of a Bursary, and also a range of opportunities to undertake a high quality experience at one of our international partners. Some of the opportunities include Study Trips, Elective Placements, places on short-term Summer Programmes. Travel Opportunities
Take a look at the different types of travel opportunities available through the HELS Go Abroad scheme:
Worldwide Volunteering
A short-term visit to another country to undertake voluntary work to benefit the environment or local community.
Internships / Placements
A period of short-term supervised work experience overseas, including healthcare elective and school work placements facilitated by university partner institutions or through an external company.
Study Trips
A short-term visit to another country organised by one of the academic departments and links to a specific academic programme.
Summer Schools
A short-term study programme during a holiday period based at an overseas university, involving taught classes and cultural activities.
