On receipt, your application form will be forwarded to the Course Admissions Office for consideration. Here your application will be assessed to ensure you meet the relevant entry requirements and where appropriate your personal statement will also be considered as part of your application.
If you meet the entry requirements in full, you may be called to an interview.
After interview, if you’re considered suitable for the course, you will receive an offer of a place, which may be conditional upon your obtaining certain qualifications. The conditions will vary between courses and even within courses depending upon evidence of your previous academic record. Many of our offers will be expressed using the UCAS tariff point score, a system which assesses exam results.
If you applied through UCAS, you will receive an official offer from them. If your application was direct, for example for part-time or postgraduate study, you will receive a letter from the Health Admissions Department.
For some of our programmes you will receive information detailing Occupational Health and enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) requirements.
For all other courses you will be sent further details once you have firmly accepted your offer.
