Dr Reza Kia
Reza Kia received his Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering from Mazandaran University of Science and Technology in 2014, IRAN. By starting his PhD in 2008, he joined Islamic Azad University (IAU) in Iran as a lecturer and continued teaching along with working on his PhD. By finishing his PhD in 2014, he promoted to an assistant professor position in IAU. Afterwards, he joined logistics department of German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) in Oct 2017.
He has taught several Industrial engineering courses including “Simulation Principles”, “Inventory Control”, “Statistical Quality Control”, “Project Management”, “Operations Research”, “Facility Design”, and “Applied Statistics” and some logistics courses such as “Airport logistics”, “Supply chain management” “Optimization applications in Logistics”, and “Material flows and Intra-logistics” at bachelor level. He has also taught “Facilities design”, “Advanced production planning and Scheduling models”, “Business Analytics” and “Application of fuzzy theory in decision making” at the graduate level.
He has published 26 papers in ISI journals, such as Computers and Operations Research, Journal of Manufacturing Systems, International Journal Of Production Research, Engineering Optimization, Applied soft computing, European journal of Industrial Engineering, Socio-Economic Planning Sciences, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology. He was awarded four research grants from IAU and one from GUtech.
