Short course
Workplace Mental Health
A significant percentage of all UK sickness absence is due to mental ill-health, now one of the largest and fastest-growing annual causes of workplace absenteeism. BCU’s Workplace Mental Health three-day short course provides practical guidance on reducing workplace stress and helping staff feel more able to remain at work. Learn best-practice implementation of sustainable culture improvements to support worker wellbeing, and how to measure their effectiveness.
Overview
This course provides clear, practical, case-study guidance on what steps organisations should take in order to prevent and reduce mental health problems among their workers in what has increasingly become the 'psychological workplace’. The course also helps employers support those workers with mental health problems developed outside of the workplace.
It is suitable for anyone in any sector with people management or leadership roles, together with individuals who have designated health & safety or union responsibilities.
The course leader is Dr Craig Jackson, a widely-renowned Professor of Workplace Health Psychology, a Chartered Psychologist and member of the Society of Occupational Medicine. Over a 25-year-plus career, Dr Jackson has assisted businesses and organisations of all types and sizes to address workplace health and wellbeing issues.
