International Business Law

The LLM International Business Law course provides an exciting opportunity to build specialist knowledge of the legal aspects of business dealings that cross a border. You will explore the legal regulation of international business, considering the perspectives of traders, corporations, individuals, and entrepreneurs.

Suresh Birdi

Course Lead and Senior Lecturer in Law

Suresh’s qualifications include an LLB from the University of Wolverhampton where he received an award for the most outstanding student in the European Union law module. He holds an LLM in International Economic Law from the University of Warwick.

Laura Rodes-Saldana

Lecturer in Law

Laura joined BCU as a Lecturer in Law in September 2022. Her areas of expertise encompass company law, business law, corporate finance law and law and economics, particularly from an international and comparative perspective.

Legal Practice

The LLM Legal Practice is a rigorous master’s programme designed to equip you with both the in-depth legal knowledge and practical skills required to prepare for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) and to succeed in legal practice.

Jason Georgiou

Course Lead and Senior Lecturer in Law

Jason specialised in Criminal Defence work as a Solicitor before joining BCU. He maintains links with the local legal community as a Consultant Solicitor and has over 20 years practice experience in the legal sector.

Jason’s teaching focusses on preparing students for professional practice in the legal sector through leading and teaching on professional Master’s courses and developing employability skills with postgraduate level students. Research interest include clinical legal education and employability.

Hayley Mynard-Gates

Lecturer in Law

Hayley Mynard-Gates joined BCU in 2015. She is a qualified (non-practising) solicitor in England and Wales and has taught Property Law and Practice, Land Law, Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence and Tort Law.
