Train to be a Nurse this January
Our Adult and Mental Health Nursing courses blend theory with practice to help you become a confident and competent nurse of the future. Start this January.
Training
We are the largest trainer of undergraduate nurses in the UK (based on number of students enrolled; HESA Student Record 2021/22).
Travel abroad
and observe practice in other countries, like our adult nurses who went to Pittsburgh, USA, and our midwives who visited Tanzania.
Facilities
our state-of-the-art healthcare facilities include a birthing suite, resuscitation room and simulation equipment.
TEF Gold
BCU was awarded the highest possible rating of Gold for Student Experience in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) 2023.
We are committed to providing support and guidance to help you succeed in your chosen career and make a genuine difference to the community you will work in as a Registered Adult or Mental Health Nurse.
We provide a dynamic and forward-thinking learning environment, supported by experienced academic staff who are qualified professionals and experts in their fields, dedicated to both Adult and Mental Health care. Alongside expert teaching, you’ll also benefit from professional placements, giving you the confidence to put your skills into practice.
Our innovative facilities simulate the real situations that health professionals may come across. Our mock wards enable you to get a feel of what a ward is really like before you head out for your first placement. They contain ‘Sim Men’, which are demonstration dummies that exhibit symptoms, allowing you to treat them as you would a real patient and build your confidence in reacting to the changing needs of patients in diverse healthcare settings.
