Cyber Physical Systems

The Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) group develops innovative solutions across multiple disciplines for an increasingly digital society.

The Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) group develops innovative solutions across multiple disciplines for an increasingly digital society.

CPS are interconnected, complex systems that are aimed at delivering new functionalities in diverse areas such as healthcare, manufacturing and energy. Such systems are usually described using terms such as Internet of Things (IoT), Machine-to-Machine (M2M), and Smart X (smart cities, smart manufacturing) systems.

The group engages in applied and practice-informed fundamental research to aid architecting and adoption of future CPS that are resilient against evolving cyber threats. This is delivered through two intersecting research clusters: Future Information Networks (FINET) and Secure and Trustworthy Systems (STS).
