Sandy Taramonli

Sandy is a Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security and the Course Director for the BSc Cyber Security. She is involved in teaching Cyber Security and Digital Forensics modules. She specialises in the areas of Ethical Hacking, Network Forensics, Adaptive Security and Cryptography. Sandy was awarded a PhD in Energy Conscious Adaptive Security from the University of Warwick in 2015. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and an AccessData Certified Examiner (ACE).

Her research interests are focussing on stochastic log file analysis for network intrusion detection and network forensics. Sandy is keen on using stochastic methods to provide more efficient and accurate results, both in the area of network forensic investigations, as well as in intrusion detection systems. She is also experienced in the application of stochastic methods for low energy encryption and lightweight IoT solutions.
