Edlira Vakaj

Edlira Vakaj is currently a Lecturer of Computer Science at the School of Computing and Digital Technology. She worked as a Marie Curie Experienced Researcher at the University of Surrey with secondment at Imperial College London in the area of Artificial Intelligence and Ontology Engineering. Edlira’s current research interest is primarily in Artificial Intelligence, Semantic Web Technologies, and Knowledge Graphs.

Edlira is engaged in several European and UK funded projects of various domains where Semantic Web Technologies are applied such as Renewable Energy (FP7 RENESENG), Industrialised Construction and Industry 4.0 (Innovate UK DfMA, Knowledge Transfer Partnership), Higher Education and Youth (Erasmus + Capacity Building, Learning mobility of individuals, Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices action).
