Dr Ashayeri has more than 15 years of industry and practice experience spanning architecture, lead architectural technology, construction management and BIM manager. Her professional experience covers healthcare, residential, office, educational and zero-energy building projects, including award-winning international architectural work. This broad industry background informs both her teaching and her engagement with the construction sector.

Alongside her academic work, she actively engages with industry partners to explore practical challenges and opportunities in digital construction. Her areas of collaboration include BIM, digital twins, construction automation, retrofit, process efficiency, off-site and modular construction, and 4D BIM. She is particularly interested in working with industry to develop practical solutions, support innovation, strengthen knowledge exchange, and build collaborative research and funding opportunities.

Her consultancy and industry collaboration interests include BIM and digital-construction strategy, digital twins, AI-enabled construction, off-site and modular construction, retrofit, 4D BIM and construction planning, design and process automation, knowledge exchange, and the development of collaborative funding applications with industry partners.
