Dr Nouh has built substantial experience in working with industry through a combination of funded collaborations, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, professional training, and applied AI development. His industry-facing portfolio includes partnerships with organisations such as METCLOUD, NHS, Microsoft, Cognizant, Birmingham City Council, Mindset Associates, Meer Labs, Liaison Group, and DPC. In these roles, he has contributed to projects that connect academic research with practical business and societal needs, particularly in artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital inclusion, and skills development.
A key example is his role as KB Academic Supervisor for the UKRI-funded KTP with METCLOUD, where he helped lead a 27-month project to develop an AI- and machine-learning-driven multimodal support system for technical and cybersecurity queries. His work involved shaping the strategic vision, guiding system development, supervising the KTP Associate, and ensuring effective collaboration between the university and industry partner. He has also contributed to ChainAI as Co-Investigator, supporting the development of GenAI and LLM-based tools for smarter supply chain workflows, and to EcRoFit through CPD leadership that produced training materials with impact across more than 70 SMEs. More broadly, his industry engagement reflects a strong ability to translate research into practice, build productive partnerships, and deliver innovation with real-world value.
