What is the Millennium Point Scholarship?

Do you want to work within the built environment, become a leader in AI technology or solve engineering problems to make the world a better place? Then we want to hear from you.

If you apply for the scholarship and are successful, you could get your course fees paid for three years of study! Millennium Point Trust is committed to growing STEM talent in the West Midlands and wants to hear from you if you’re going to be the next bridge builder, have plans to break boundaries in film and music or want to develop the next best-selling indie computer game!

What you could get

If you’re selected as a winner, not only will you get your undergraduate degree from our Faculty of Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment funded.

It’s not just about the winner or winning, if you make it to the final you will be invited to participate in developmental workshops that will focus on supporting your personal development and professionalism in both interview and presentation skills.

Who can apply?

You can apply for the Scholarship if:

  • You are aged 18+ by September 2025
  • You currently live in the West Midlands
  • You are looking to start an undergraduate degree in September 2025 in the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Built Environment (CEBE) at Birmingham City University 
  • You are available to participate in the finalist workshop on Saturday 20th April and the assessment day on May 2025
  • You do not currently have an undergraduate or above level qualification
  • You are not currently in higher education
  • It might help if you have already made a UCAS application with your desired course to Birmingham City University - but this is not mandatory

How do you apply?
