How to apply through Clearing if you don't have a UCAS account
If you’ve never applied to university through UCAS before but want to apply to a course through Clearing, you’ll still need to create a UCAS account. We’ve created a step-by-step guide to walk you through this process.

1. Find the course(s) you want to study and give us a call. We can still process your application and make you a conditional offer without a UCAS account.
2. Head to the UCAS Hub and register for a new account.
3. Once you’re registered and signed in, you’ll be able to click on a banner that says ‘start new application’ with a big pink plus icon next to it.
4. Go through the application, completing every section. You’ll need to fill in personal details and provide details about your qualifications. There will be a section that asks you to provide references, but we won't be needing these from you. You'll be able to tick a box on your application that removes the need for references.
5. Submit your application to UCAS for them to check and approve your application.
6. Once your application has been approved by UCAS, you can add a Clearing choice. Find out more about adding a Clearing choice. You will only be able to do this if you have received a written or verbal conditional offer from a university.
7. We will then review your application to see if we can confirm your place or if we need further information from you.
8. We’ll change your application status to UF – which means you have accepted an unconditional firm offer to study with us. You'll receive an email confirming your acceptance of a place at BCU. You can then apply for accommodation if you're planning on living in student halls and start preparing for your time at uni!
