Hafiz has been a lecturer in finance since 2015. He began lecturing in Bahria University Islamabad, Pakistan and went on to work in Scholars School System, UK (2018). He is currently teaching finance to undergraduate and postgraduate students here at Birmingham City University. He has led and taught modules within HE institutions in the UK and Pakistan over the last 4 years.
Prior to becoming a lecturer, Hafiz has worked for 2 years with S&P Global, a US based largest financial company as a Financial Analyst that has equipped him well to relate theory with practice when teaching. Furthermore, he has worked with Shell Helix and Coca-Cola as an event organiser for over 1 year.
Hafiz is also a doctoral researcher in finance at BCU and his research is aligned with the programmes taught within finance and thesis examines Market Efficiency, Market Co-integration, and Market Determinants for Precious metals (Gold, Silver, Platinum, and Palladium).
In addition, his research has been acknowledged externally, the Board of Directors of International Precious Metals Institute, Inc USA (IPMI) and awarded a certificate of achievement. He is also a member of the Research Development - Centre for Applied Finance and Economics (CAFE) at Birmingham City University and seminar convenor for the up-coming working paper series.
