The business environment is rapidly changing, and a different market reality is emerging.
As a student of today and manager of the future, one needs to adapt and adopt flexible patterns of thinking and behaviour to succeed as a global manager of tomorrow. The Online MBA course aims to allow students who hold a Bachelor’s degree in a Business Management related subject to study full-time for a Master of Business Administration (MBA) qualification.
The Online MBA course will take a practice-led approach that will also allow you to grow your personal and professional status. The course explores in detail the nature and implications of the changes in the business environment, as well as providing you with the skills and mindset that will allow you to operate effectively within such an unstable and unpredictable world. You will be taught to successfully lead the organisations of the future, regardless of sector or country.
Online study allows you to study a UK degree from anywhere in the world. This means you can earn a highly sought-after qualification without having to move - virus or no virus.
The Online MBA course will consist of 7 taught modules, and a dissertation module, all delivered by online methods. It consists of three stages (PG Certificate, PG Diploma and Masters), and each stage is 60 credits. Stage One and Two consist of 3 modules each, 20 credits per module. Stage Three consists of one 20 credit module and a 40 credit Dissertation module. Essential elements within each stage are as follows:
This stage involves the transitional module "Developing Management Skills", that enables you to adjust to the rigour and discipline of studying online, and possibly alongside employment for those taking the course part-time. It also ensures that you have a strong foundation in key skills that will enable you to transition to an advanced Master's course. This is followed by the "Managing and Leading People" module, which aims to develop knowledge and understanding in people, organisations and culture from a number of perspectives or views, and the "Operations and Process Management" module, which introduces the intricacies of managing operation processes in a global environment, and how that can shape the competitive strategy of an organisation.
This stage develops your specialist knowledge of business management and understanding of the functional elements of business organisations. Strategic issues in management are explored and examined, so by the end of this stage, you should be able to identify, examine, and evaluate the impact of various external and internal issues on management today and the relevance of core theories in business and management.
This continues the development of your knowledge in innovation and change management, exploring how to take innovative business ideas to create new products, services or organisations, including the identification of intellectual property and appreciation of its value. At this stage, you will also complete a dissertation, a piece of independent research that links theory to practice, building on and developing your professional management skills, such as critical analysis, problem solving and synthesis of data to produce appropriate research outcomes.
