Professor Muhammad Bilal

Muhammad Bilal is a professor of Applied AI and Technology Ethics at Birmingham City University, UK. He earned his PhD in Applied Artificial Intelligence from UWE, Bristol, and holds an MS in Advanced Database Systems.

Professor Bilal has a broad spectrum of research interests that encompass Knowledge Engineering, Information Retrieval, Algorithm Design, Big Data, AI Product Development, and Visual Computing, with applications across diverse sectors, including healthcare, finance, digital manufacturing, and smart infrastructure. He has led the research, development, and deployment of numerous AI-powered enterprise products and brings extensive experience in collaborative research design and governance. Furthermore, Bilal has authored over 50 research articles published in high-impact journals and presented at international conferences.
