Michalis initially studied Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology at the University of Ioannina, Greece and is fascinated by the diverse ways human behaviour is influenced by internal and external factors of self and society. Through his postgraduate studies in Organisational Analysis and Behaviour (Lancaster University, UK), Michalis gained insights about how to give meaning to the forms people's behaviour is expressed. He has been working on people’s behaviour at work for more than 20 years, both as a HR consultant and an academic.

Michalis has been working as a consultant in various organisations internationally since 1998. That's given him the opportunity to compare forms of communication that take place in different parts of the world and consult others about how to be better prepared and avoid misunderstandings. His passion is Leadership Development, Assessing Performance through Psychometric tools, Organisational Psychology and HR Strategy. At the moment, Michalis's research interest is in trust and mental ill health in the workplace.

Michalis has been teaching in HE (undergraduate and postgraduate courses) in the UK and abroad since 2000. He has received various recognitions for his performance, among which ‘Most Innovative Tutor 2015’ and member of the ‘Best Academic Team 2016’.
