His current research interests centre mainly around the influence of religious affiliation and religious teachings on management and organisational life. His central premise is that the role and influence of religion and spirituality on organisational life is becoming increasingly clear and important. It is accompanied by a recognition of the importance of symbolism and ritual in organisations as well as the contribution of psycho-dynamics in organisation theory. His research therefore makes substantial use of Jungian thought.

Further interests include the philosophy of science, organisational symbolism and theology, as well as the experiences of people living and working in intentional communities, whether from a religious basis or otherwise.
