Anna Yartseva main area of academic expertise is macroeconomics and economic policy. Most of the research she has done so far is related to various macroeconomic phenomena.
Anna's main passion is the property market, and she occasionally works as a property developer. Her current research is related to the analysis of property market and forecasting property prices.
Since joining higher education provision in 1990s, Anna has held various university teaching and research positions. Her work has been funded by various bodies including universities, private corporations, charities and government organisations.
Apart from lecturing at Birmingham City University, for the last 8 year Anna has also worked as a senior examiner for Assessment and Qualifications Alliance (AQA) exam board in the field of Economics and Business Studies. She also hold a professional qualification in management accounting (CIMA Advanced Diploma) which helps her to relate the theoretical aspects of her teaching with real life companies and industries.
