Margaret Saunders is a qualified management accountant who gained substantial experience in industry prior to making the transition into education. She is currently the Academic Lead for Teaching Excellence and the Student Experience in addition to being a Senior Teaching Fellow in Management Accounting.
Margaret qualified as a chartered management accountant in 1992 and worked as a management accountant within an International subsidiary of a steel stockholders. Following a request from a local college to lecture on a short course, Margaret decided to pursue a change in career direction and became involved in teaching.
She now has a wealth of experience in education, specialising in cost and management accounting supporting her teaching with her industry experience. Margaret was awarded the Bronze Award in teaching excellence from CIMA in 2021.
