Richard currently works as a Senior Lecturer within the School of Engineering and the Built Environment. He is a member of the Institute of Physics, as well as an Associate Member of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications.

Richard is an experienced mathematical engineer and teacher, with over 10 years of industry experience. His expertise in the field of automotive engineering is vast, having previously worked as a project engineer within mechanical design, as well as working within an advanced control systems department.
