Current activity: 

Junfeng has extensive experience of working in the automotive industry, working with Volvo, Lotus and FAW Group Corporation, as well as the oil and gas industry with BP and Shell. He has over eight years’ experience in delivering high-quality research focused on thermo and fluid dynamics using computational and experimental fluid dynamics techniques, and current research focuses on advance powertrain of electric and hybrid vehicles, driving technology of intelligent vehicles, vehicle electrification and connected vehicle technology. Junfeng’s work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journal and conference publications, consultancy reports and contributions to independent reviews.

After graduating from the Jiangsu University (China) in 2004 in Thermo and Powering Engineering, Jungfeng Yang joined the China First Automotive Works Group Corporation as an Assistant Engineer.

In 2006, he began postgraduate education and completed his MSc in 2008 and gained his PhD in 2012 from the Department of Applied Mechanics at Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden).

During his time at the Chalmers University of Technology, he worked in the internationally recognised Spray Combustion Engine Research Group, working on a biofuel spray combustion project.

In June 2012 to April 2013, after completing his doctoral research, he worked as Research Fellow at the University of Leeds within the School of Mechanical Engineering working on ultra-boosted gasoline engine development.
