Transforming Building Lifecycle

The Transforming Building Life Cycle Research Group advances knowledge related to the building life-cycle through the application of digital technology and process transformation as well as the application of novel management approaches.

Research in the group explores the adoption of digital technologies such as Building Information Modelling (BIM), internet of things, machine learning, and virtual reality, the applications of innovative planning, design and construction approaches such as lean manufacturing and integrated project delivery, and the interfaces amongst human, building and the living environment to improve construction health and safety, productivity and building performance, reduce fuel poverty and CO2 emissions, improve wellbeing of building users, and build intelligence, connectivity and future-proofing to our living environment.
