Dr. Saeed Talebi

Dr Saeed Talebi is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Built Environment, Birmingham City University. He has a PhD in the Built Environment and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

His role combines teaching, research, and administration. Saeed is the Course Leader for BSc Quantity Surveying and he has taught on several areas including Innovation in construction, Project Planning and Control, Cost Management, Procurement & Contract Administration, and Lean Construction at both UG and PG levels.

Bringing practical experience of working on a number of projects, Saeed is researching and helping teams manage the interfaces between theory and practice. He has been engaged as either Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator in more than £200K funded research projects. He has recently completed a project funded by Network Rail in which emerging surveying methods and Artificial Intelligence were utilised to automate inspection of infrastructure.

Dr Talebi is a board member of the Community of Practitioners-Lean Construction Institute, North West Chapter, and is an active member of International Group for Lean Construction.
