In 2008 Rob became a Further Education Lecturer for level 3 students and eventually taught at Higher Education level from 2010. Teaching various Construction and Building Services courses. In 2016 he commenced his MSc in Sustainable Energy and Building Design which he completed successfully in 2018. Rob’s role as a lecturer included teaching on Level 4 HNC courses; Level 5 HND courses, BSc Degree Building Services Programmes and new. Construction and Civils Degree Programmes.

Rob’s strengths lie in motivating students and help the students achieve results that they are capable of. Rob is an experienced course leader, with significant experience in assessing provision and ensuring we deliver to high standards. Rob has previously spent 25 years working in the construction industry, with roles at management and supervisory level.

Rob has maintained up to date learning resources and keep up to date with all legislation, both for college policies and in relation to my teaching materials and / or industry requirements. Rob is also interested in the increasing importance of environmental sustainability within the Building Services and Construction industry. Rob has effective IT skills using spreadsheets and various software such as IES, Asta Management, Synchro and MATLAB.
