New name for Birmingham School of Architecture

New name for BSoA

Birmingham School of Architecture has a new name, Birmingham School of Architecture and Design, as a result of expanding its course portfolio by transferring and integrating existing three-dimensional design courses at BA (Hons) and MA level.

The School maintains its status as the only RIBA-accredited school of architecture in the region that offers courses for Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3. The School now runs courses in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Conservation, Zero Carbon Architecture, Interior Design, Product Design, Furniture and Lifestyle Products, 3D Designer Maker, Design Management, and Design and Visualisation.

“The move is a really exciting step in the right direction for everyone involved at the School. It gives us a chance to increase the variety and diversity of not only the student's work, but also for potential cross-disciplinary opportunities in research and with Co.Lab, the School’s design project hub, encouraging collaborative practice with industry. We look forward to welcoming our new students in September.”
