Lecturer and Level 4 Lead
Josephine has been teaching at Birmingham City University (BCU) for almost four years now, mostly as Level 6 lead during which time she has been GradShow Coordinator, EDI Champion and Co:Lab tutor. She has recently taken on a new role as Level 4 lead, drawing on her skills from practice and her own university experience to teach students to become ‘experts’ in Interior Architecture and Design whilst also supporting them as they become settled into higher education.
Prior to her appointment at BCU she worked for a large international architectural practice as Associate and Lead Interior Designer. During her time she led the interiors team in designing projects in all sectors, in varying scales, and in various countries across the world. Josephine draws upon her own experience in practice, as well as her time working with junior designers to help them develop, regularly in her teaching.
