Alumni reunite to celebrate 50 years of Social Work at BCU
A host of Social Work alumni reunited this week to celebrate 50 years of the course at Birmingham City University.
The event, which brought together alumni spanning across the five decades, was the perfect opportunity for graduates to catch up with their peers, lecturers and discuss how they can work together in the future.
The event was part of the Social Work 50-year celebrations, which have been ongoing since 2021.
As well as food and drink to enjoy and plenty of reminiscing, four alumni, Jane Dooley, Dr Simon Cauvain, Clair Graham and Rowena Renshaw, also talked us through their time at university, what they got out of their degree and where their careers have taken them.
The event is just the start of a series of alumni events and workshops that the Social Work and Alumni teams will be hosting for graduates over the next few years.
