The Student Life Coach
Student life coaching for first year repeating students
In addition to the academic support offered at the Centre for Academic Success, the Student Life Coach is here to help you explore your individual strengths so you can achieve your academic goals
What we do:
- 1:1 regular meetings to discuss goals and progress
- Bespoke sessions to support your skills development
- Continuous support throughout the year
We focus on:
- Goals setting
- Time management
- Motivation
- Communication skills
- Assignment planning
- Procrastination
- Improving grades
- Remote learning
- Study techniques
- Healthy habits
We expect you to:
- Attend meetings on time
- Be honest about your progress
- Reflect on your academic work
- Keep in regular touch

Student life coaching workshops available for all students
All the workshops are now delivered live via Teams and they last about 40 minutes. We encourage you to sign up via iCity so you have the opportunity to ask questions to the Student Life Coaches and interact with other students about study skills that are relevant to you.
