Stephen Deane

Stephen has taught English in several countries overseas – Spain, Vietnam and Saudi Arabia.

His experience in the field of English for Academic Purposes includes working full-time at the University of Exeter and the University of Birmingham. He completed his DELTA certificate in 2009 and did a MEd TESOL in 2011/12.

His current role as a Learner Developer for EAP involves supporting international BCU students. He teaches open access workshops, which include a range of academic language and skills. Additionally, he does 1-1 tutorials for learners, to focus on specific areas of their work. Finally, he conducts departmental sessions for MSc Project/Construction Project Management and Law.
