“I discovered Birmingham City University while researching universities online. After attending an Open Day, I fell in love with the campus, the vibe, and the city.  

“Since I was already planning to move from Cambridge to Birmingham, choosing BCU felt like the perfect fit. 

“I really enjoyed my time at BCU, where I studied Law. I had the opportunity to take part in a range of activities connected to my course, which made my experience even more rewarding.  

“I loved the classes, the friendships I built, and the campus; it truly felt like home. 

“I have spent the last three months working as a Casework Assistant at the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in Birmingham, and I’ve recently been offered a role as a Paralegal Officer. I’m so excited for this next chapter in my legal journey. 

“Studying Law at BCU provided me with a strong foundation in legal principles and criminal justice, which has been essential in my current role.  

“The course developed my research, analytical, and written communication skills, as well as my ability to manage complex information and work to deadlines. Through practical activities and engaging coursework, I gained a realistic insight into the legal sector, which helped prepare me for working at the Crown Prosecution Service. 

“I love that, within my role, I’m able to make a difference, knowing that the work I contribute to supports justice and helps others. It’s incredibly fulfilling to be part of something meaningful. 

“What I like most about working in the West Midlands is that it offers the best of both worlds. It’s a big, vibrant city with lots of opportunities, but it still feels more manageable and close-knit compared to London.
