Sarah Jones
Sarah Jones is a Lecturer in Criminology at Birmingham City University. Sarah completed her Undergraduate and Postgraduate degrees at Birmingham University and soon after, became a Visiting Lecturer at BCU in 2021. She then became a full-time Lecturer in Criminology at BCU in 2025.
Sarah is currently undertaking her PhD, which explores the ‘hidden population’ of the families of children and young people who have been convicted of homicide, and the experiences and reflections of those who support such individuals in a service provider and practitioner capacity. Through real-world impact and research informed responses, Sarah aims to gain an insight into a highly under researched topic to help develop knowledge, enable a more nuanced understanding, inform policy and enhance support frameworks.
