Owen Yates
Owen is a lecturer of law and PhD researcher at Birmingham City University. His research sits at the intersection of law and science, exploring the science literacy of aspiring lawyers; their perceptions of science in legal practice; and the implications for legal education.
Owen is particularly interested in current approaches to legal education and training and how they could be enhanced to better prepare aspiring lawyers for the realities of legal practice. This includes exploring how aspiring lawyers view science in legal practice and whether it is important for their professional skillset and future practice area.
