BCU operates an in-house Family Law Clinic operated by Fiona Farrell in respect to matters that are pre, during and post-litigation.

CELC reflects the core access-to-justice mission of a clinic. It offers students exposure to complex, real-life casework affecting vulnerable communities, particularly in areas where legal aid is limited. Collaboration can enhance referral pathways and supervised case experience.

Citizens Advice operates as a key triage and advice provider. A Law Clinic can complement this work by taking on more in-depth legal casework or specialist matters, while also giving students insight into early-stage client interviewing and holistic advice models.

This partnership demonstrates how private practice can integrate pro bono into specialist, high-impact litigation. For students, it highlights pathways into public interest law and the role of strategic casework in shaping legal reform.

An international NGO providing free legal representation and advocacy for unaccompanied and separated children in immigration proceedings. It partners with law firms, corporations and universities to deliver pro bono legal support.

LawWorks provides infrastructure and best practice guidance for clinic delivery. Membership can support compliance, supervision standards and referral networks, strengthening the operational model of a university Law Clinic.

Street Law expands the clinic’s remit beyond casework into preventative legal education. It enables students to develop communication skills while promoting legal literacy and community engagement.

Support Through Court complements advisory services by addressing procedural barriers. Partnerships can give students insight into access-to-justice challenges faced by unrepresented parties and the practical realities of court navigation.
