Dr Mohamed Ragab is a Lecturer in Computing at Birmingham City University and formerly a Research Fellow in the Web and Internet Science (WAIS) Group at the University of Southampton. During his time at Southampton, he contributed to the ESPRESSO research project, with a focus on the Semantic Web, privacy-preserving decentralised systems, and trustworthy AI.

He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Tartu, Estonia, where his research concentrated on processing and querying complex Knowledge Graphs and managing large-scale data. Dr. Ragab has taught both undergraduate and postgraduate modules in computer science and has supervised MSc and Ph.D. students in areas including data science, web technologies, and artificial intelligence.

His current research interests focus on developing secure, efficient, and privacy-preserving data ecosystems to support the next generation of web applications.
