Tom is the Course Lead for the Foundation in Architecture and Design. He has taught in the department for the last 10 years and brings a wide range of experience in different design disciplines including his own art and graphics practice.

His teaching and lectures have focused mainly on architectural design at both Foundation level and BA but his knowledge of visual communication has seen him teach across all courses in the department and within the School of Art.

As a creative practitioner Tom’s artwork has been shown in exhibitions in Europe and the US and published in graphic journals such as 46PGS. An interest in graphic art for music packaging has led to him adorning many album covers with his own brand of spatial representation using a wide range of processes from collage to painting and photography. His unique graphical process saw him collaborate with the late film director Ian Emes on the Pink Floyd film ‘The Endless River’ creating title sequences and animated drawings.
