All about the Doctoral Research College

Our Doctoral Research College (DRC) is a non-academic department within BCU whose primary purpose is to ‘Enable Excellent Research’.

The DRC does this by working in partnership with all stakeholders, such as Postgraduate Research (PGR) students, Faculty research colleagues, other professional service groups within the University, and your study’s host Faculty.

The DRC oversees all processes which support PGR students during their studies.

This includes:

  • Student enquiries
  • Admissions and enrolment
  • Advice on scholarships, fees, stipend payments and contracts
  • Registration and induction
  • PG Certificate Research Practice (and other research training)
  • Suspensions and extensions
  • Research student support and drop-in sessions
  • Thesis submission, examinations and award.
