Welcome Message
Welcome to the MSc Project Management programme. I am delighted that you will be joining us in September 2026, and I encourage you to actively participate in the Induction Week activities (w/c 14 September 2026). These sessions are designed to help you settle into university life, meet academic staff and fellow students, and become familiar with the facilities and support services available to you throughout your studies. You will also have the opportunity to attend the Students’ Union Fairs taking place on 15 September at the City South Campus and 16–17 September at the City Centre Campus.
The MSc Project Management programme has been designed to reflect both academic learning and current industry expectations. In your first semester, you will explore key project management principles, contemporary practices, and decision-making approaches that are essential for managing projects successfully across different industries. The course is accredited by the Association for Project Management (APM), ensuring that the curriculum is aligned with recognised professional standards and industry-relevant knowledge areas.
Several members of the teaching team hold professional project management certifications and bring valuable industry and practice-based experience into their teaching. Throughout the programme, we actively embed employability-focused knowledge and practical perspectives to help you develop a stronger understanding of project planning, leadership, risk management, teamwork, and strategic delivery in real-world contexts.
We look forward to welcoming you.
Thank you.
Abdul,
Course Lead for MSc Project Management.
